SUMMER 2020 ACTIVITY CAMPS - Leicester Forest East and Syston
We would like to reassure all our customers of the safety measures concerning the current pandemic and how we will operate with the Covid-19 measures in place at our camps for summer 2020.
As previous customers we hope over the past years we have gained your trust in allowing us to operate our camps safety whilst your children have been in attendance. Our safeguarding measures will continute to be our sole priority and believe we have created a safe way to operate aswell as keeping to our Clubszone daily structure.
Please see below the important areas where we will introduce these new safety polices following government advice.
ACTIVITY GROUPS/BUBBLES AND ACTIVITY STRUCTURE
- Maximum of 45 children allowed on camp daily
- All activities and break/lunch will be outside unless it rains or if suitable indoor rooms are available
- 5-7 members of staff on site (3 bubbles) which will consist of 1 site supervisor and 4-6 activity leaders (Same staff all week where possible) 3-5 staff would be on site for 30 kids (2 bubbles)
- Camp will be split into 3 mini camps of 15 and have access to limited parts of the building so no cross overs
- Children will then be with those 15 children (Bubble) along with 2 members of staff all day
- 15 children will be allocated a room to leave their belongings and lunch
- Bubble Groups will be in aged groups where possoble 5-7 (Camp A) 8-9 (Camp B) 10+ (Camp C)
- Children will be mixing with only those 15 children from their bubble/mini camp per day
- Activities can still have the flexibility throughout the day for children to choose
- Mini camp of 15 children can be split into 2 more groups so we can still offer Dance/Archery at the same time
SIGNING IN AND OUT PROCEDURE
- Table will be set up outside for signing in and out
- One way system when dropping off and collecting
- We ask for you to bring your own pen where possible
- If consent forms are needed we will ask for you to print off beforehand where possible
- 2m markers will be introdced and will be one at a time
- Parents will not be able to enter the building to help put bags away (Staff will be able to assist if needed)
- Hand sanitiser will be available before signing in and out and this will be required by all users
WASHING HANDS AND TOILETS
- Staff will be allocated their 10 children for the day and responsible for the washing hands procedure
- This will happen at the start and end of EVERY activity
- Before and after snack and lunch times
- Hand sanitiser will be available for each group
- Toilets/sinks/door handles will be cleaned by the site supervisor every hour during the day
- Each mini camp will have their own toilets
ACTIVITIES AND EQUIPMENT
- Full list of normal activities will be available where it is safe to do so
- Activities will be NON CONTACT unless government guidlelines tell us otherwise in July/August
- Hockey/Archery/Bowls/Rounders/Tennis/Table Tennis etc will be 1 item per child during the activity and no swapping and sharing during the games
- Equipment will be cleaned at the end of each activity
- All activities will be 2m distance and be monitored closely by the activity leaders at all times
- More fun creating Social media content with TikTok videos
EXTRA SAFETY MEASURES AND REMINDERS
- All staff members taken ‘Prevent Covid-19’ online safety course
- Risk assessment of the building and operation of the day
- In the event of rain, we plan to have access to more building space (Pre school and Rugby clubs at LFE)
- ALL windows and doors will be open in smaller areas to help with ventilation
- Tuck shop will be ready made bags of 50p sweet and bottled drinks (Operated only by the site supervisor)
- Please ensure children have sun cream already on or can at least apply themselves during the day
- Building will have a deep clean at the end of each day (Door handles/toilets/tables/equipment)
COVID-19 SYMPTOMS AND REFUND POLICY
- If a child is showing symptoms at home please do not bring them to camp
- During camp and a child shows symptoms, we will call home and isolate the child until collected with an adult keeping 2m apart and staff wearing PPE
- If your child is not able to attend due to Covid-19 then we will give a credit note for future use
- IF THE CAMPS DO NOT GO AHEAD DUE TO COVID-19 lockdown then we will issue FULL refunds
COMMUNICATION
- We would like to keep in touch via whatsapp when possible to give updates beofre and during camp
- Give out key information more quickly
- Action shots of your child on camp
